Personal approach I'd like to take while setting up amp / active speaker gains: 1. Turn down the volume/gain/trim knob on active speakers (or amplifiers) to minimum; 2. Play some music through the mixer and let the main volume meter hit 0dBu (-18dBFS for digital consoles); 3. Turn up volume/gain/trim knobs on active speakers (or amps) to acquire the anticipated SPL in the venue - Make sure that the volume settings of left and right channels are identical. This ensures not only a healthy gain structure but also a direct visual feedback of actual loudness on site.

I am using the settings you provided in the dr-112 dsp, can you suggest what settings i should use on the subs? The options are BOOST FREQUENCY ON OR OFF - knob going from 40-90 Hz / HIGH CUT Knob going from 70-150 Hz and volume knob going from -infinite to +6 db. Thanks in advance

I have the powered 108A and at half volume it often goes into a lower volume clipping, but mostly using phone equalizer, so not sure if its a over heat issue as it doesnt have the visible heat sink on the exterior like pk112a.

Hey I have DBR15s they are on line level. Mixer is at unity but the speakers are toooo loud. The knob is from -Infinity to + 10 db. I have it at 0 (unity) Do I turn down the speakers or the main level faders?

La dr115 en el modo de musica balancea graves y agudos pero en modo dj el bajo es pesimo y se satura rapido yo la uso en 0 db y el corte en 100 o 120 htz. Para musica en vivo.audiocenter igual es buena.

Thank you for a great video comparing the range. I ordered some PK110 passive speakers today for a small practice room and this helped a lot. I already have powerful, high-end speakers so didn't need the 12" model. Great info; well done and much appreciated.

The Audiocenter boxes actually sound quite decent, and they're fairly inexpensive on idle fish 🤣 Would you pick TSP152-AN or RCF TT+25 (although passive with an amp)?
